The number one question I get asked is, "What can I do to help myself improve in my math skills and score higher on my police test?"
Sometimes the answers are right in front of us: "Know your math facts!"
Math facts are the building blocks of having excellent math skills. If your math facts are weak, you will have difficulty being proficient in fractions, long division, long multiplication, percents, and all of the word problems component of your police test.
Many of the policing and law enforcement tests have to be performed without a calculator - and at the quick computational pace required, there is no time for counting up or not being quite sure of the answer and having to figure it out.
Do yourself a favour and learn your facts! There are some great apps out there for free - download one and do 10 minutes a day for a week. You will be amazed at how your proficiency improves!
