Lesson 1.2 The Calm 3 Reset

1.

A simple breath practice to settle your system before prep

Why settle your body before you study?

When your nervous system is activated, your mind races or shuts down. You can’t absorb or apply information until your body feels safe. That’s why we start with breath — it tells your brain: you’re okay now.

2.

How to do the Calm 3 Reset

You’ll do 3 rounds of this cycle:

  • Breathe in for 4 counts through your nose
  • Breathe out for 6 counts through your mouth
  • As you breathe, let your shoulders drop and your jaw soften

Question 2 of 4

3.

What to say while you breathe

During your reset, quietly say this to yourself:

“I don’t have to do everything right now. I just have to begin.”

This mantra grounds you in the present — not the pressure.

Question 3 of 4

4.

You’ve already succeeded

If you did even one full breath cycle, you’ve begun. That’s enough.

You can come back to this reset anytime — before studying, before interviews, or anytime your body feels tight or overwhelmed.
