Lesson 2.3 Practice Recovery, Not Perfection

1.

Interrupt spirals and come back to center.

Everyone spirals sometimes

Whether it’s in an interview, during prep, or just when you’re reviewing your progress — spiralling happens. You might feel shaky, defeated, frustrated, or like you “messed it all up.”

This is not a failure. This is a moment. And moments pass.

2.

The fastest way out is to pause

Take one breath — in through your nose, out through your mouth. Feel your body again: hands, feet, your seat on the chair. Come back to now.

This is called a “recovery rep.” Every time you come back, you’re training your brain to recover faster.

3.

Confidence comes from returning, not being flawless

The most confident people aren’t perfect — they’re just better at not staying down. They know how to name what’s happening, adjust, and move forward.

This is your goal: less time lost to spirals, more time in steady progress.

Question 3 of 4

4.

You’re allowed to begin again

Right now, even if you feel off-track, you can pause and choose again. Not because everything’s fixed — but because you’re practicing the skill of returning. That’s what builds trust in yourself.
